Column Technical Services is seeking a Business Automation Engineer to join our team and help streamline and enhance business processes through automation. Your work will boost productivity, minimize errors, and improve overall efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

Workflow Design & Execution:
    • Create, implement, and oversee complex automation workflows.
    • Ensure workflows are efficient and error-free.
    • Quickly address and fix workflow issues.
Integration Skills:
    • Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation and data tasks.
    • Build and integrate automation solutions using APIs.
    • Work with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for seamless integration.
Business Process Evaluation:
    • Identify automation opportunities within business processes.
    • Document current and future state processes.
    • Convert business requirements into technical automation solutions.
Communication & Teamwork:
    • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members.
    • Work independently and collaboratively with various teams.
    • Provide training and support for automated workflows.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Over 5 years of verified experience as a business automation engineer within software development and/or IT sectors (experience in the insurance industry is highly desirable).
  • Strong understanding of task and workflow concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python scripting and relevant automation libraries.
  • Experience with API integration and scripting best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Stonebranch or similar tools.
  • Experience with cloud providers (Azure) and automation integration.
  • Familiarity with Selenium.
