Internship opportunities at the ITER Organization Task Title: INT.25.W1.NTP-Robot vision control Application Deadline: 31/03/2025 Department: ITER Construction Project Division / Program: Machine Assembly Program Section / Project: Remote Handling Project Duration (in months): 6 Months Location: France, 13067 St Paul Lez Durance Cedex Short Description: This internship will focus on camera sensing for calibration of a robot position with respect to the local environment. Description of tasks: Task 1: Gain familiarity with the robot and image processing system in Remote Handling (RH) laboratory. Task 2: Gain familiarity with the 3DNode marker system developed by Fusion for Energy (F4E). Task 3: Assist creation of environment where accurate relative positions can be measured. Task 4: Investigate methods for making position measurements using image processing. Task 5: Demonstrate performance of the position measurement methodologies. Task 6: Integrate relative position measurement with Virtual Reality modelling of the operations. Task 7: Write report on results.
