Job Description SRNL's Environmental and Legacy Management Directorate has an opportunity for Engineering students who are currently pursuing a graduate degree for an internship opportunity. Interns are provided an exciting learning environment to develop into the next generation of professional scientists and engineers, explore cutting edge technologies, and make impactful discoveries. Applicants must have graduated from or currently attending a Minority Serving Institution (MSI). Internships typically run for a 10-week period. Responsibilities Internship research opportunity (Summer 2025) for graduate students with interests in collaborating with a team of engineers. The work is focused on robotic deployment of Non-destructive Evaluation Methods for Large Concrete Structures. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Currently pursuing a graduate degree.  Background in: Civil Engineering – Concrete material and structures Mechanical – Drone and Crawler assembly, modification and operation Computational and parameter specific data analysis      Security Clearance Information This position will require selected candidate to be able to obtain a DOE Security Clearance. BSRA is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with BSRA require applicants to have the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
