About the Role
The Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for the processing of incoming patient specimens including selection of appropriate tissue culture regimes, maintaining stocks and solutions and monitoring and cleaning equipment to facilitate the efficient operation of the laboratory. The incumbent will also perform other routine laboratory technician tasks according to established laboratory procedures including establishing and harvesting of bone marrow specimens, chromosome preparations, G-banding, CD138 enrichment of plasma cells, DNA extraction and microarray technical tasks as required.
Classifications for this position will range from classification range BU1-BU8 ($59,207.20- $76,346.40 per annum - pro rata).
