Job Description

  • Limit Monitoring
    • Track new additions and the limit to confirm we remain in compliance.  This includes monitoring out own borrowers to make sure the totals are correct, and also external borrowers that get included in our limit. 
    • Provide monthly manual adjustment file to correct overstatements in our limit to reporting
    • Research errors and work with ops and reporting to fix the issues
    • Research/ monitor new limit additions from external groups and if anything needs approval to be excluded, work with outside commercial bank groups to get the appropriate approvals in place.
    • Track new deals/ runoff with industry teams

  • Budgeting/ Reforecasting
    • Create the upcoming year budget
      • Utilize historical trends as well as management assumptions/ expectations
    • Monthly reforecasting with finance utilizing actual data as well as the latest business expectations
  • Fees/ Finance
    • Reconcile and split our syndication fees on a monthly basis
    • Track down any missing fees/ any errors in the fee amounts we receive, misc projects
    • Work with finance to make sure one client fees/ any outside revenue is being recognized to our group
    • Work closely with Finance on one off questions that come up such as creating new cost
  • Goals
    • Track all new transaction closings including new money and fees
    • Consolidate actual goal scorecards by individual
    • Work with the SF HR team to create assumptions for goals based on historical trends as well as actual data available through our systems
  • Data Reconciliation and Tracking
    • Track all new transactions, year end stats, headcount for year end goals, as well as one off data requests that come up through the year
    • Understand and know how to utilize various reporting systems through BMO- Sharepoint, NNARCO reporting, Power BI, Management dashboards
    • Manage distribution of sharepoint data to AM team quarterly and help with any cleanup for investor reporting
  • BMO PE      
    • Help PE Fund with updating the quarter end BMO PE material for HRL and BMO PE Valuation meetings
    • Update valuations on equity only investments where there is no debt related deal team
  • Miscellaneous Projects
    • One off requests for data / help with projects across the floor
    • Consolidating and distributing HRL material, including making sure the material is submitted to Livelink and sharepoint for risk review once final.
    • Partner closely with all areas of Sponsor Finance including the Asset Management team

Qualifications:

  • Typically between 2 – 4 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • In depth specific functional knowledge and broad business knowledge.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products .
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision.
  • Basic understanding of risk management concepts
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
  • Excellent capability to independently and proactively service multiple clients.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills.

Salary:

$52,800.00 - $98,400.00

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
