This position is based in our corporate head office in Brisbane with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week. This role is an integral position within the team and provides the opportunity to work in a global environment, providing financial analysis for our sites across Australia, the United States and the UK.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Strategic Financial Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and sophisticated modelling to underpin investment decisions, project funding, and strategic planning.
  • Performance Evaluation: Scrutinize financial performance, pinpointing trends, risks, and opportunities for enhancement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams to evaluate the financial viability of groundbreaking projects and initiatives.
  • Financial Modelling: Maintain and refine full lifecycle financial models for existing sites, aiding in budgeting, planning, scenario analysis, capital management, and impairment testing.
  • Executive Presentations: Assist in presenting budget and medium term plan results to key stakeholders and the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Treasury Management: Assist with treasury operations, including cash flow management, liquidity optimization, and adherence to treasury limits, presenting results to sub-committees.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships with stakeholders, demystifying key outputs and metrics for non-finance stakeholders.
  • Financial Documentation: Prepare aggregated financial models and information memorandums for potential financiers and debt facility tenders.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Provide bespoke financial reports for shareholders as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Advanced MS Excel financial modelling
  • Experienced user of MS PowerPoint
  • Understanding of business valuation and DCF concepts
  • Bachelor’s degree in a finance related discipline
  • Prior experience (three to five years) in financial analyst or group management accounting environment with focus on detailed structured full life financial modelling across multiple businesses units and/or sites
  • A good working knowledge of accounting concepts is required
