Description

ImOn Communications has been the LOCAL choice for high-speed Internet, cable TV, and phone in Eastern Iowa since 2007. Since then, we have expanded our network to provide fiber Internet services to more than a dozen communities in Iowa and beyond! As we grow our network, we are looking for an ERP & Database Administrator to join our team.

The ERP & Database Administrator supports the ongoing operations of ImOn Communications by analyzing, improving and maintaining data integrity. This position performs a variety of duties all designed to ensure ImOn business data is accurate and up-to-date and optimizes processes to maintain data integrity.  


Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Be the go-to person internally for all operational data-related issues including interacting with Marketing, IT, Engineering and the Growth team to ensure all elements are available for build and sale and are entered properly into the system.
  • Maintain address information accuracy as changes and updates are discovered in the field.
  • Manage product and pricing information including entering new products and updating existing, implementing pricing changes in the system, managing the process and data for tenant upgrade pricing, and other product/pricing data needs as they arise.
  • Configuration of data and key information in the system, working with the vendor, Information Technology, and subject matter experts to ensure an accurate representation of data in the system. 
  • Understand the processes and workflows for prospecting serviceable addresses.
  • Be available to provide training for new employees.  
  • Document data change processes and data meaning, and ensure this documentation is kept up to date as the data model evolves over time.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements and implement them.
  • Responsible for working with field personnel for Circuit ID project updates.
  • Work flexible hours, which could include evenings and some weekends.
Requirements

We are looking for people with (minimum requirements):

  • Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Database Administration or related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • At least 2 years of experience working in information technology or engineering environment.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Research skills with the ability to validate and verify data using third-party tools such as the US Post Office or Google Maps.
  • Strong attention to detail with exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented with consistent exercise of independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance.

It would be nice if you had (preferred qualifications): 

  • Ability to develop basic scripts and macros, (examples: Microsoft application ecosystem, or with a programming language such as Python or PowerShell), or equivalent.
