Description

Position Summary:   The Project Manager will be responsible for gathering the business requirements, ensuring the technology teams translate those requirements into solution designs, and managing the IT delivery of the outcomes required by the business across multiple simultaneous initiatives.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage small-to-medium application related and/or operational support initiatives
  • Manage day-to-day PM activities including schedule management, resource management, financial management, risk/issue management, and status reporting
  • Promote adherence to PM processes, methodologies, and standards
  • Contribute to management-level reporting

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
  • 4-6 years’ PM experience in corporate IT or professional services role
  • 1-2 years’ experience within a PMO
  • Attention to detail and thoroughness
  • Process-oriented
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to articulate details with clarity to both functional and technical audiences
  • Basic understanding of the differences between SDLC, Waterfall, Agile, and PM methodologies
  • Experience managing or supporting IT projects utilizing a PM methodology
  • Management or support of at least one small-to-medium project from Initiation through Implementation
  • Effective utilization of MS Project, Jira, and/or similar PM tools
  • Effective utilization of productivity and presentation tools (e.g., Confluence, SharePoint, MS Office)
  • Agile or PMP certification preferred
