Maryland Auto Insurance seeks candidates to fill part time, contractual role in our IT Internship Program. This is a part time position with a maximum of 29 hours per week for 8 weeks during the summer.
The internships will begin on June 9th thru August 1st. This position is blended in office and virtual. The candidate will be required to come into the office a minimum of once per week (Wednesdays) for educational lunch and learn sessions.
The IT Project Manager Intern is designed for college juniors and seniors seeking entry into the business world. This position will provide a thorough understanding of the technology functions of an automobile insurance entity to include theory and practical application of attained knowledge.

Education and Experience Required:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Pursuit of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional certification in Computer Science or Business Administration.
Qualified applicants will possess strong analytical skills and an understanding of project management methodologies. An understanding of business analysis (requirements gathering) and/or software quality assurance would be a plus. Must be able to work independently, yet have interpersonal skills needed to work in a team-based environment. Ideal candidates will be energetic, organized and have a passion for technology. Position will report directly to the IT Manager.
Qualifications
This position does not supervise other employees. This is a part-time, non-benefited position with the core work hours being 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Flextime may be available with prior supervisory approval.
