Saratoga Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Medical Physicist - Chief at Long Beach, CA. Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with National Radiation Oncology Program (NROP) accreditation standards.
• Adhere to ACR, ASTRO, and AAPM guidelines for radiation oncology services.
• Provide evidence that services meet or exceed clinical guidelines.
• Perform routine quality assurance testing and calibration of radiation therapy equipment.
• Provide expertise in Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse Treatment Planning System, and Aria EMR.
• Conduct acceptance testing and commissioning of linear accelerators and related equipment.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and Therapists to ensure optimal treatment planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation of quality assurance processes and compliance reports.
• Assist in the development and implementation of radiation safety procedures.
• Participate in research, clinical trials, and the integration of new technologies.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master’s in Medical Physics or related field.
• Certification: Board Certified Medical Physicist.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent work experience within the last 3 years.
• Technical Expertise:
  • Experience in quality assurance procedures.
  • Proficiency with Varian TrueBeam, Eclipse Treatment Planning, IGRT, and IMRT QA.
  • Experience in acceptance testing and commissioning of radiation therapy equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and quality assurance procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in VA healthcare or government-contracted radiation oncology services.
• Knowledge of national VA guidelines for Radiation Oncology Services.
