Job Description

Cisco ASA firewall, Cisco IPS and Bluecoat Proxy SG environments & Working knowledge of ITIL.

Job Description:-

  • Minimum 6-8 years of relevant and current experience administering, troubleshooting and
  • maintaining Cisco ASA firewall, Cisco IPS and Bluecoat Proxy SG environments.
  • Sound understanding of network principles such as routing, NAT, VLAN/PVLAN, subnets,
  • ARP and associated command line tools such as tcpdump. • Experience building and
  • supporting IPSec Site-to-Site VPN tunnels.
  • Knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of
  • relating business needs to security controls
  • Awareness of mainstream operating systems
  • Experience working in a virtual team, with ability to have a positive and impacting influence
  • on activities from a distance.
  • Experience working in a Global team-oriented collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in a 24/7 high availability environments and able to participate in off hours oncall
  • support rotations.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Working knowledge of ITIL. Major Accountabilities
  • Scheduling and implementing changes for firewall, IPS and proxy systems; Maintaining
  • systems such as upgrades and patches.
  • Addressing and resolving incidents for reported or observed problems. Escalating
  • advanced incidents as necessary. Ensure tickets are managed in accordance with SLAs.
  • Monitoring systems for operational faults or issues, performance, or functionality issues.
  • Taking prescribed actions to address and escalate as necessary.
  • Perform initial incident resolution, troubleshooting and functionality validation of systems.
  • Maintain procedural and operational documentation and help create new documents as
  • needed.
  • Ensure all appropriate monitoring of systems is in place to assess availability, efficiency,
  • and impending signs of issues. Ensure alerting is occurring as appropriate
  • Ensure effective and efficient request handling and escalation policies and procedures are
  • being utilized.
  • Follow Global Change Management process to safeguard stability and reliability.
  • Proficient understanding and experience using configuration management and/or diagnostic
  • tools, monitoring applications, and performance analysis tools

Pivotal team member in developing a compliance framework including controls development, test scripts, conducting assessments, reporting evaluations performed, and providing metrics on the progress made Works with business units and with other risk functions to identify security requirements, using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments.
