This is a hybrid role where you'll spearhead the integration of customer websites onto Akamai 's platform. As a trusted consultant you'll implement creative solutions to help customers leverage security and web products successfully. As a Security Consultant II, you will be responsible for: - Ensuring customer success by understanding requirements, leveraging best practices and offering consulting services that meet customer needs - Leading small technical teams to ensure focus around implementations - Collaborating to evaluate customer web architecture, develop and deliver long-term security strategy and cloud solutions - Working with security experts to solve technical problems, demonstrating Akamai's value, and communicating effectively with all audiences - Partnering cross-functionally to review and ensure integration efficiency, deliver high quality service and ensure customer engagement - Participating in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency, and improving methodology and service quality - Tracking, documenting and sharing information to provide visibility for stakeholders Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: - Have 5 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, another related field or its equivalent - Understand internet technologies and network protocols (IP, DNS and routing, HTTP, TCP or web architecture) - Be familiar with security technology, process and concepts, security event management, or security compliance - Demonstrate Project Management skills with large, well known customers - Have excellent communication skills and an ability to build trusting relationships with customers - Demonstrate a passion for excellence through sound judgement, solid decision making and contingency planning - Have a natural ability to engage, influence and build trusted relationships with customers even under difficult circumstances Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world. The base salary for this position ranges from $102,973 - $154,614/year; a candidateοΏ½s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
