Job Description:

US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X) is a cutting-edge program supporting DoD intelligence information sharing on current and emerging global threats to mission and coalition partners and emerging nations. With an internationally dispersed team supporting each combatant command, the US BICES-X team is in direct support of the war fighter and their missions. We are seeking a creative and driven professional with a passion for solving real world issues on a cross-functional, fast paced team.
Candidate will become a member of the project management team responsible for initiating and managing projects and tasks.
Responsibilities:
- The IT Project Manager will be required to plan and manage various customer facing IT Projects.
- The IT Project Manager will be client-facing and required to deliver projects on time and within budget. Projects will vary in scope and size depending on the nature of the requirement.
- The Project Manager will work closely with the Program's Project Portfolio Manager and government client to develop project estimates (schedules, cost estimates, materials, services, etc.) to meet the client's requirement.
- A range of projects may be assigned at a time which may include coordination with various engineering teams, vendors, customers and other non GDIT contract personnel.
- Projects may consist of instantiating new bilateral networks, cross domain integration, physical IT hardware relocations, standing up new locations with all of the required IT infrastructure and user facing devices, life cycle, and device recap projects, etc.
- The project manager will facilitate, manage, and execute project activities from large or complex tasks that may include enterprise systems integration, data maintenance and migration, and other analysis of projects.
- Design and develop project baseline schedules, support implementing and maintaining integrated master schedule (IMS) and work breakdown structures (WBS).
- Identify risks affecting project cost, schedule, performance, and support development of alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules.
- Must have the ability to produce schedules visually depicting decision points, milestones, progression, and interdependence of the project tasks to provide program with a clear picture of the project schedule, communicate project updates and support effective decision making.
- Working closely and effectively communicate with staff members and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule developments and updates.
- Monitoring and maintaining status schedule progress.
- Identify and communicate significant schedule risks to staff and management team.
- Assist in developing resource loading and level process for project schedules using the performance work statement (PWS), technical proposal, WBS and oral directions from senior project managers and technical leads.
- Conduct project management related training as directed by PMO.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 10+ years of work-related experience.
- Must possess and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience required.
- PMP Certification required. If absent, must obtain within six months of hire.
- ITIL V3 acceptable with V4 Foundation within 6 months of hire.
- Understanding of project management process of ascertaining work, executing work, and post-project procedures.
- Experience with and the ability to develop, maintain and report on project plans and schedules.
- Must be well-versed with MS Project.
- Solid experience with project budgeting and scheduling.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in a client interaction context.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite/Tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 5+ years of Project Management experience demonstrated by a proven track record of success in multiple complex projects and/or programs preferred.
- Experience with DoD Coalition information sharing, NATO, MPE, JIE, or other interoperability programs, standards and systems.
- Understanding of cross domain simulations and processes.
- Demonstrated understanding of DoD information technology systems, tools, process, or organizations.
- Can take direction from several individuals as well as work on a variety of projects simultaneously.
- Depending on job assignment, additional specific certifications may be required.
The likely salary range for this position is $110,614 - $146,050. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
