The Senior Project Audit Consultant role is responsible for assessing the effectiveness of project management practices across the group of companies, and ensuring projects comply with organization standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices. This role will be responsible for consulting on multiple projects and subsets of projects of varying priority. This role works with stakeholders at all levels across the organization from senior leadership to front line staff/team members. It will be responsible for managing complex relationships, influencing, negotiating and navigating highly sensitive situations, and as such requires excellent relationship skills and tact.
How you will create impact:
- Conduct comprehensive audits of ongoing and completed projects.
- Assess adherence to corporate project requirements for key project artifacts (e.g. project plans, budgets, timelines and quality standards).
- Evaluate compliance with regulatory and organizational policies.
- Act as an enabler and supporter to the Project Manager and EPMO for proactive and timely risk management.
- Identify business or technical risks and bring in Operational or IT Audit assistance as required. Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and consistency in project delivery.
- Support the development of policies, procedures and templates to improve project governance.
- Provide project leadership for internal operational initiatives related to process improvements, adoption of tools/technology.
- Manage internal projects, as required, including the implementation and ongoing maintenance of the GRC Tool software.
- Deliver internal training to project teams on audit processes, compliance and risk management.

To join our team:
- You have 10 + years working experience as a project manager (e.g. waterfall, agile).
- You have 3-5 years of leadership experience (e.g. people leader and/or individual contributor level).
- You have a post secondary degree in Business/Technology or a related discipline
- You have a strong knowledge and experience with Project Life Cycle knowledge - project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure phases.
- You have solid experience on Performance Metrics for projects – familiarity with key KPIs.
- You have good knowledge and experience on Governance – understanding of project governance structures and how to assess compliance.
- You demonstrate strength in interpersonal skills and have the ability to establish effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at various levels.
