Job Description Summary

The Senior Vendor Risk Analyst is tasked with the evaluation of vendor performance utilizing standard tools to assess, score and rank vendors across categories including compliance, reliability, satisfaction, and risk. This data will be used to validate contractual compliance ensuring our vendors continue to add value to the company while building robust relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of vendor risk management within the organization.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Office team and business unit stakeholders to ensure vendor management objectives are accomplished in alignment with organizational expectations.
  • Facilitate vendor management program, reporting, and monitoring.
  • Work both autonomously and as part of a team to meet objectives and deadlines.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for vendor management and advise business owners on best practices.
  • Conduct proper research to stay current with industry trends.
  • Assess vendor tiers and complete proper vendor due diligence.
  • Develop scorecards to evaluate vendor performance.
  • Conduct vendor management training and awareness campaigns.
  • Complete or assist with vendor risk assessments.
  • Present vendor risk results to senior management.
  • Identify areas and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in supply chain or vendor management field.
  • Technical and/or information security knowledge a plus.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results.
  • Ability to gain consensus from individuals with diverse interests.
  • Exemplary communication skills (verbal & written) including presentation skills to all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workload with competing deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of the vendor risk assessment process, including risk identification, inherent vs residual risk, compensating controls, risk ownership and mitigation.
  • Exceptional research skills, leveraging multiple sources for a reliable depiction of vendor stability and risk.
  • Experience with successfully assessing vendor landscape and segmentation in relation to business context and strategy.
  • Knowledge of risk mitigation strategies throughout the vendor lifecycle.
  • Ability to assess vendor ecosystem, conduct supply chain analysis and understand upstream and downstream risk.
  • Knowledge of KPI and KRI program elements.
  • Ability to assess vendor documentation for compliance.
