Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Senior Windows Security Analyst to join a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging environment.


The ideal candidate must demonstrate conceptual understanding of windows Security. S/he should have a natural curiosity and initiate interest in technology, security and the ability to work in a diverse team environment. The candidates must also demonstrate the aptitude to work with teams, who will be responsible for supporting Products/tools related to platform security for a global firm.


As the Senior Windows Security Analyst, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Provide senior support for production application. Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure stability

  • Consult internal teams and clients on security tools and provision tools for the different IT security and enterprise infrastructure teams

  • Provide expert support for variety of security technologies: RSA Archer, Hitachi Privilege Access Management, microsoft public key infrastructure and several other internally developed tools

  • Response to mitigate risks by utilizing company’s tools, policies, process and procedures

  • Contribute to the central knowledge base by creating, constructing, reviewing, improving and updating documents & publishing corrections related to security.

  • Perform operational support, and participate in the 24X7 weekly rotation of the on-call emergency response

  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues around the globe to ensure procedures and processes meet best practices

  • Inspect, troubleshoot and resolve problems, become the “go to” person for sufficient resolution

  • Design, develop and execute visionary ideas for efficiency and effectiveness, and provide ideas for automation when necessary

  • Active collaboration with global colleagues to provide globally consistent processes and procedures and provide innovative ideas

  • Contribute to all business planning and practices by providing insightful ideas.


This is a full-time, direct employment in Montreal, Canada. Salary is open based on experience & qualifications.


Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of Windows security engineering or platform engineering experience

  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline

  • Background in Financial Services industry is a plus.


Skills & Experiences:

Must possess in-depth understanding and prior experience on the following:

  • Skilled in Scripting and development in Powershell, VBscript and/or c# development.

  • Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, Group Policy, DNS / WINS, IIS, clustering, SCCM, SQL (query).

  • Expertized in one or more of Security technologies: Symantec Endpoint Protection, Symantec Endpoint Encryption, Varonis DataPrivilege and DatAdvantage, Hitachi Privilege, Microsoft Public Key Infrastructure, and Microsoft Threat Management Gateway, and etc.

  • Firewalls, Routing, NAT, OSI Model, packet trace and analysis, and etc.

  • Troubleshooting windows operating systems including debugging

  • Project Management skills with capability to plan and effectuate effectively    

  • Web Development (HTML, JavaScript)

  • RedHat Linux, and virtualization technology


Interpersonal Skills:

  • Must be able to demonstrate problem solving/troubleshooting skills

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse security technologies and techniques

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Should be self-driven and flexible
